Blanche – Peau Rouge
Direction : Pauline Bricout
Release : June 19th 2026

For Blanche’s song “Peau Rouge” (Red Skin), Pauline Bricout crafts a new coming-of-age tale where love and nature become one. In a forest bathed in twilight, a man and a woman adorned in ancestral attire gather around a fire, watched over by a faithful horse. But very quickly, their paths diverge: he sets off alone, leaping from branch to branch through the canopy, hurtling down hills, until he plunges from a cliff into the ocean—a leap of faith, the first step in a long rite of passage.

From this plunge is born a quest: to find the other, whom he then carries, lifeless, through woods and along shores, under the gaze of a bison that kneels as if to bless their reunion. Then comes the most intimate moment of the video: the man tears off his blood-stained mask, revealing his bare face to the woman who watches him, her hands trembling. The couple, finally reunited, then merges with the elements—dolphins, coral, and the immense silhouette of a marine creature watching over them from the depths.

In a dizzying visual shift, the daytime sky tears open like a page being turned, revealing a starry night hidden beneath the light. The man and woman rise into it, becoming one with the cosmos, carried by this same creature, now a gigantic celestial ray, gliding through a shower of meteors toward an infinite elsewhere. True to her universe where Destiny shapes beings torn between confinement and freedom, Pauline Bricout delivers here an allegory suspended between flesh and myth, where loving means shedding oneself—mask, fear, gravity—in order to better take flight.

About Blanche “Peau Rouge” :

For ‘Peau Rouge’, she based her work on a screenplay by Clémentine Robin, featuring protagonists who are no longer simply torn between confinement and freedom; they ultimately break free from their circumstances to merge with the living world around them. The mask that is removed, the body that sheds its protective covering before entering the water—it’s always the same quest: that of a bittersweet fate that can only be escaped by surrendering to it completely.
