Vendredi sur Mer – Mon chagrin

Vendredi sur Mer – Mon chagrin
Réalisation : Pauline Bricout
Proposition : Charline Mignot

Vendredi sur Mer is a soft voice and sharp words. To illustrate the words of “Mon Chagrin”, the director Pauline Bricout deploys a universe in pastel tones, deliciously retro. Charline Mignot sings that “elsewhere much further / Every day (she) drags / A little more (her) grief”? The clip then sends back a positive image of a breakup. Vendredi sur Mer ‘s album recounts his “First emotions”, and was released in 2019 on the “Profil de Face” label. As she describes it to Inrockuptibles, “On a synthetic pop framework that invites an abundant orchestration, summoning flutes and violins. Charline recites her fantasies and her ruptures, her desires and her lacks, challenges her partners.” (source)

About “La première dose est gratuite” video capsule :

The concept of #La1èreDoseEstGratuite allows director Pauline Bricout to present her work to different artists with whom she would like to collaborate. She therefore chooses each piece according to her musical affinity and imagines the universe for this one in particular and for this sample more precisely. The sample chosen is about 10 seconds long, so as not to interfere or take advantage of the piece, that it remains illustrative and not parasitic. Once the dose has been made, she contacts the artist or the label directly, either by email or via social networks.
