Nii! A hamster isn’t exactly a household name in film or animation, you might say. And yet, Tapopow is introducing us to one of his characters today. A super cute little hamster with an adorable little tummy. And—as in all of Tapopow’s magical and enchanting world—he loves music and sound. Or noise? In any case, he loves it when it goes boing tong boing tong and vice versa. 🥁
So the hamster has a cute and fun role, adding a touch of charm to the stories, just like in other films and cartoons. 🐹 ⚡
Tapopow’s little cartoon hamster joins the ranks of film and animation hamsters, like:
- Rhino, an energetic and optimistic white hamster who appears in the Disney (not Pixar) animated film, “Bolt.” He lives in a glass cage and is a big fan of the heroic dog from the movie. 🐶
- Hamtaro is a Japanese cartoon hamster who is the main character of the series of the same name. The series follows the adventures of Hamtaro and his hamster friends as they explore the world while solving problems. 🐹
- Pipsqueak is a small hamster who appears in the animated adaptation of the Christmas classic, “The Grinch.” He is one of the animals in the village of Whoville. 🧑🎄
- In the Netflix series, “A Series of Unfortunate Events,” the character Sunny Baudelaire has a hamster named Hal, who is often carried in a small cage.
Although the main characters in “Alvin and the Chipmunks” are squirrels, the series and movies often include rodents, including hamsters, in various episodes. Furthermore, in “The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader”, a small character called Reepicheep resembles a mix between a rat and a hamster.
